Duh…. Politico & CNN are reporting that US Senate Democrats have accepted Roland Burris’ certification as the Junior Senator from Illinois… he’ll be seated before the Inauguration of President-elect Barack Obama.
As if they had any choice, once they decided not to have a special election in Illinois. What a freaking circus! I can’t believe they thought they would have any other choice – Burris had the legal right. Though US Senate Dems look a bit ridiculous backpeddling.
