Hello Elizabeth,

Today, I had a million things to do with business calls/e-mails and the daily pressures of life.
Sad to say, it didn't occur to me what the date was until I saw it on my Comcast news page 4AM this morning.
In any case, I was very good friends with Justin as he moved to my home town of Nutley, NJ in the early 80s to be closer to work.
I'd say we were the best of friends for about 5 solid years before I decided to relocate to AZ. Of course, before I went, Jud insisted I come in for an interview at Eurobrokers for as you mentioned, he had a heart of gold and would give you the shirt off his back.
Moreover, my family loved him too. Especially, my Dad for when he would get home from work with a nagging back ache, if Jud was visiting, he would pick him up and twirl him like a rag doll in an attempt the loosen up and crack his back.
Frankly,I think the shear fear of being airborne for so long just scared the pain out of my fathers back.
Thank you for remembering Jud and the memories associated for they will never die.
Keep up the good work and God bless,
 Paul

Thank you for your brilliant analysis and exceptionally concise organization of facts and thought! This gives me great confidence in the future of our country with talented and devoted citizens guarding the gates. I hope you have an outstanding future using your talents.
It would be marvelous to know that someone with your capacity to communicate is sharing your insights on a larger forum.
Don't ignore us old folks! The townhall meetings have demonstrated that there is some ornery independece yet to be reckoned with! Politicians always underestimate the strengths of cunning and experience, over power and money.

I'm active duty US Army air defense, so I may be a bit biased. ;)

It's not the gun, but the finger on the trigger that is the problem. China, Russia, Iran, North Korea, to them space is the ultimate high ground.

Russia during the cold war, could not compete with western tech. They tried and failed. Now that the cold war is over, they are trying to modernize and that includes space(their newest SLBM is a failure however).

China, well they seek to dominate. Chinese designed ballistic missiles may soon be able to hit carriers and our bases in Japan. China sees a waning of US power and wants to fill that void. Anti-satellite weapons are part of their plan to become a new superpower.

Iran & North Korea will try to lob missiles as far as they can. At this point, nuclear programs and long ranger missiles keep their failed regimes together as much s they keep the US out.

Space is the place. We must stand our ground, never starting fights. But by God we should finish them.

OK, I'm no fan of Bush.

But only complete jackasses ask you to define "typical liberal". Everyone knows what that means. Everyone. If you object to the classification because you consider yourself to be a Classical Liberal, or a Libertarian, or the not so typical 'consistent liberal', then say that. Stop being an ass.

"It’s pathetic that folks who self-identify themselves as “right” spend so much time demonizing and trying to control those who do not share that same exact self-identification."

O. M. G. Read much? There's this new thing called the interweb or something. On there, there's a bunch of 'web loggers' who identify with the left and the right. Many of those on the left fit the above description perfectly. Some would say 'most'. It's kind of a self-selected group. I don't really know what the kettle to pot ratio is among this strange group of left/right web log writers. But I do know that KOS stands for: "Kettles of Sh*t".

But, "911 occurred on his watch"? Duuhhwhat?

Yeah, and Pearl Harbor occurred on FDR's watch. So? WWI? Vietnam? Waco? OK bombing? USS Cole? First Twin Towers bombing?

And here we have a president who has spent eight months doing what? Making sure another 911 can't happen? If one happened tomorrow, how would Obama's first eight months be different from GW's? He wasn't aware terrorists could sneak across our borders? He's done something to guarantee they are sown up tight? He's working closely with the CIA to make sure we're on top of the threats? Or is he more worried about prosecuting Americans in the CIA who were explicitly promised they were on firm legal ground when they gave our detainees a stern interrogation? Obama has utterly alienated the entire CIA, including Pinetta. Is he actually more busy releasing terrorists back into the wild, apologizing to Muslims out of the side of his mouth that isn't currently being used to proclaim that America will not apologize. Has he instead, astutely identified Constitution-loving Libertarians as the next great threat to The American Way, and directed Napolitano to keep an eye on them?

How about just a little bit of consistency out of a 'typical' liberal?

Oops, there I go asking for the effing impossible. I mean that is really what this particular subject is about. Any non-liberal would be tarred and feathered had they written the same about... umm... Garafalo? ack-ck... I think I just threw up in my mouth a little bit. umm... Pelosi? HC? Waters? Help me out, here... Ferraro? Boxer? Maddox?! Sotomayor?

OK, who am I kidding. No non-liberal COULD have written this article, I'll grant you that. But, for rhetorical purposes, let's just pretend it happened. And, for rhetorical purposes, assume he wasn't a complete psychotic gone off his meds. (I believe many on the left and right give Olberman a pass for this very reason.) The publication of this would have touched off a firestorm. The hypocritical NOW would have been 'outraged'. (Does NOW even still exist. I mean, between Clinton's escapades, the trashing of every woman Bush selected to high positions, the inexcusable treatment of Sarah Palin, including articles EXACTLY LIKE CIMBALO's about her, and this event, I haven't heard from them in decades. I believe they had a mass suicide: they all drank Koolaid laced with mass-quantities of Inconsistency.) Liberal professors would be writing mass-signed letters calling for castration with a spoon, various professional-offendees would be chattering incessantly, Michael Moore would be admitted for Rhinotillexomania again, and don't even get me started on the celebrities.

"$700 unsupervised billions for AIG..."

You do know this makes you look like a completely ignorant boob of Biden-like proportions, right?

OK, the Congress originates all bills and appropriates the money... This means the Democrat congress wrote the bill, they passed it, they could have retained oversight over it, and the most any President can do is veto it. Should Republicans have listened to about 70-80% of the entire US adult population and not voted for it? Should GW have vetoed it? Sure. I think so. Obama didn't. He voted for it. He would have voted to overrule a veto. (And he had the gall to claim he 'inherited' a deficit from Bush, adding the TARP bill HE voted for into the deficit pot, meaning yes, he told yet another outright lie.) And for the last eight months, who was responsible for how this money was spent. At least half of it has been doled out under the Obama administration. We were promised transparency, and instead, we have unaccountability. No, the truth is the money was supervised. It was supervised right into the pockets in which the government wanted it. The current administration 'could' look into this, tell us what happened, even to the money that was spent under GW.

Don't hold your breath counting on their ethics.

"it’s accurate description of the direction the nation was heading under their administration"

Huh? We have less fascism now, eight months later? And what's changed? Do you even have a damn clue what the word means?

Is the Constitution suddenly being interpreted with an emphasis on greater Liberty now by some new Constitutionalist SCOTUS nominee? Has the Patriot Act been repealed? Are government nationalizations of entire industries trending down? What about government-business partnerships? Fewer government-sponsored enterprises? Are Obama's community-organizing brown-shirts just a smaller version of one of Bush's many brown-shirt organizations that I didn't know about? Are we seeing, now, a turning away from the push to end private gun-ownership? Is irrational worship of our Dear Leader waning? (The polls are down, but the worship continues) Are we winding down the war? Are we about to build fewer detention camps for foreign illegal combatants, or more? (What happened to none?)

Fascism isn't synonymous with "conservative", though the neo-cons did about as much as they could get away with to make it synonymous with Republican. However, Fascism, properly understood, is socialistic and statist. Any freedom or free-enterprise that exists within it is merely an illusion, an accident of your free-will co-inciding with the will of the state. China has transformed into the quintessential fascist state, and we have just about half a step to go to meet up with them from the other direction.

And with that, lest I be 'flagged', let me finish with the soon to be obligatory "Heil, Obama!"
