Via Dan Spencer, @CAYankee on Twitter – a story arrived on my desk this afternoon that makes my blood boil.

Yet another incomprehensible statement regarding terrorists, terror & where their eventual apprehension or prosecutions will occur.  I am increasingly convinced that Attorney General Eric Holder may prove to be the most Constitutionally tone-deaf official in the Executive Branch.  For many years, I have critiqued my friends on the Left for not understanding that when they say things – as the quote below from AG Holder will demonstrate – about “killing” the enemy, they reveal something about themselves that is dark, ignorant and disrespectful of heroes who face combat as they sit in the air-conditioned comfort of DC’s granite and marble halls of power.  It’s ugly.  Some of these folks articulate, proudly, an assumption that every soldier, sailor, airman, Marine, or Clandestine operator has a built-in bloodlust for whoever the ‘enemy’ may be.

“Let’s deal with reality,” Holder said. Bin Laden “will never appear in an American courtroom.”

Pressed further on that point, Holder said: “The possibility of catching him alive is infinitesimal.  He will be killed by us or he will be killed by his own people so he can’t be captured by us.”

The entire article from the AP is a troubling read. Let me just say this, I hope our men take Bin Ladin alive.  Because then the American people will be treated to the truth, for once, about President Obama & Attorney General Holder’s misguided beliefs and poor grasp of the Constitution.

I wish, just once, they would read the wisdom of late President John Quincy Adams – a man known both as the Father of American Foreign Policy, and as Old Man Eloquent.  Today’s leaders are often too arrogant, too political, too self-serving and relish cutting deals to achieve nothing more than the lowest-common-denominator.
